Microcement Worktops Ireland
Seamless, grout-free kitchen worktops in 22 colours. A contemporary alternative to quartz and granite for Irish kitchens.
Microcement Worktops in Ireland
In Ireland, the kitchen worktop is increasingly a design statement as much as a practical surface. Microcement worktops offer something quartz and granite cannot: a completely seamless surface with no visible joins, no silicone bead lines and the ability to continue the same material up the splashback.
Our worktop-grade system uses an epoxy sealant rather than polyurethane. Epoxy provides a harder, more impervious surface suited to the demands of a kitchen worktop. The cured sealant is food-safe and meets standard hygiene requirements for food-preparation areas.
For full kitchen flooring options, see our microcement kitchen page. For sealing details, see our microcement sealing guide.
Benefits of Microcement Worktops
Completely Seamless
No joins on long runs, no silicone bead lines, no corners to harbour bacteria. One continuous surface regardless of length.
22 Colours Available
From cool whites and greys to warm sandy tones and dramatic dark shades. Far more colour choice than quartz or granite slabs.
Repairable
If a chip or scratch occurs, a qualified applicator can spot-repair the surface. Not possible with quartz or granite.
Applied Over Existing Worktops
Microcement can go over timber, MDF and tiled worktops, avoiding the cost of full removal. Ideal for kitchen refreshes.
Splashback Continuity
The same microcement flows from worktop surface up the splashback and onto the upstand for a visually seamless kitchen.
Food-Safe Once Cured
Sealed with a food-safe epoxy, our worktop system is appropriate for food-preparation surfaces once fully cured.
Application Process
Substrate Prep
Existing worktop cleaned, sanded and abraded for adhesion. Damage repaired with filler.
Priming
Specialist primer applied and cured. Bonds microcement to substrate and prevents absorption variation.
Microcement Coats
Base coat plus two finish coats applied with a steel trowel, each fine-sanded when dry. Total depth 2-3 mm.
Epoxy Sealant
Two coats of food-safe epoxy applied for hardness, stain resistance and full waterproofing. Full cure 5-7 days.
